Members of the House of Lords ask the Home Secretary to grant the right to work for all in the NRM

On Friday 14 February 2025, 11 peers in the House of Lords sent a joint letter to the Home Secretary requesting that she grant the right to work to all survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery in the NRM.
The letter highlights the benefits that grant this right would bring to both survivors and the UK economy. It refers to Kalayaan’s series of reports “Ready, Willing & Able: The cost of not allowing survivors in the NRM to work”.
